Undersecretary for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Discusses with Representative of the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Possibility of Signing a Memorandum of Cooperation in Various Fields

On 4/10/2022, the Undersecretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, received Mr Lucas Lamberti, representative of the German Foundation of Konrad Adenauer, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with the presence of the Assistant Head of the Europe Department and a representative of the Foreign Service Institute in the Ministry. 

During the meeting, Mr Lamberti pointed out that the Foundation’s desire to expand the cooperation with the Iraqi institutions in the areas of support, empowerment, studies and research.

They also discussed the possibility of signing a joint cooperation memorandum on training programmes, exchange of experiences and skills development, in addition to providing scholarships at German universities and think tanks, and the participation of experts and lecturers in workshops, seminars and conferences of common interest.

On her part, the Undersecretary expressed the ministry’s interest and welcome to cooperate with the Foundation after concluding all the fundamental procedures to officially register it through the concerned institutions, confirming the ministry’s readiness to provide all possible facilities.
