Undersecretary of the Ministry offers condolences to Lebanon on the victims of the sinking of the refugee boat Drowning

 On 9/26/2022, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Ambassador Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, received the Lebanese Ambassador to Iraq, Mr Ali Al-Habhab, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

 At the beginning of the meeting, the Undersecretary offered her condolences for the victims of the sinking of the refugee boat drowning, emphasizing that Iraq shares with the government and people of Lebanon the feelings of unfortunate over this sad incident.

 For his part, the ambassador presented a review of the positive outcomes of the visit of the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture to Baghdad and the trade agreements it had brought about in the exchange of agricultural products, in addition to discussing mechanisms for facilitating the movement of tourists between the two countries, ensuring their development, real obstacles that impede the transfer of goods, commodities, seeking to overcome them to scale up the level of Commercial exchange. they also reviewed the role of the Iraqi-Lebanese Businessmen Forum further in enhancing the economic partnership between the two countries, the most prominent obstacles facing Iraqi students in Lebanon and the need to find real means to solve

 The Undersecretary also highlighted  the firm position of Iraq Lebanon in all its crises, and the social, historic and religious relations between the two brotherly peoples.
