Ambassador Bakr Ahmed Al-Jaf has presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (Resident) to His Excellency the President of Romania, Mr Klaus Iohannis, at the Koutrogeny Presidential Palace.
Ambassador Al-Jaf conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Republicof Iraq, Dr Barham Salih, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein, to the Romanian President and leadership, reviewing the historic relations between Iraq and Romania, emphasizing the Iraqi government’s keenness to open new prospects between the two friendly countries and enhance cooperation regarding the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding on various fields. The Ambassador thanked the Romanian President for the support provided to Iraq, confirming his determination to develop the bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
On his part, the Romanian president wished the ambassador success in performing his diplomatic tasks and contributing to the development of relations between Iraq and Romania, affirming the importance of enhancing diplomatic political dialogue and its reflection on internal security and stability in Iraq and its regional balance.
