Undersecretary Receives British Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad

On August 31, 2022, the Undersecretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, received at the Ministry’s headquarters, the British Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, Mr James Downer, accompanied by the policy advisor at the embassy.

 During the meeting, they discussed all aspects of the bilateral relations between the two countries, particularly the cooperation in the field of energy and oil wealth, in addition to reviewing developments of the political situation, and the importance of political stability in Iraq.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires of the United Kingdom Embassy thanked the Undersecretary for her reception and efforts in facilitating the work of the Embassy in Baghdad.
