Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Telephone Call from His Emirati Counterpart

OnTuesday, 30/8/2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein, received a telephone call from the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the call, they touched upon the government’s efforts to address the challenges on the Iraqi arena.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed the solidarity of the United Arab Emirates with the Iraqi people, commending the role of the Iraqi government and its measures to calm the situation, in order to reach resolutions that ensure the Iraq’s security and stability.

On his part, the Foreign Minister, Mr Fuad Hussein, his Emirati counterpart and the UAE for standing by the Iraqi people in the recent events, emphasizing the need to develop the relations between Iraq and the UAE to ensure the realisation of the interests of the two peoples.
