Chargé d’Affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Manama Meets the Bahraini Minister of Tourism

The Chargé d’Affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Manama, Moayyed Omar Abdul Rahman, has met the Bahraini Minister of Tourism, Ms Fatima Jaafar Al-Sairafi. They discussed a number of topics on the bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism, and exploring opportunities that may exchange experiences on these opportunities, and the importance of promoting them on the principle of the close interdependence which brings the two brotherly countries together in the interest of the two countries.

The Chargé d’Affairs discussed the implementation of a joint programme for scientific tourism between the two countries, confirming the importance of establishing tourist offices and joint exhibitions in Iraq and Bahrain.

On her part, the Minister expressed her readiness to cooperate bilaterally with the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and visit Iraq to meet the Minister of Culture, Dr Hasan Nadhim, to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries in this crucial area. She noted the possibility of extending invitations to Iraqi companies to attend the exhibitions which are held in the Kingdom.
