Undersecretary receives the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq and discusses with him the development of relations on all levels

 The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign, Ambassador Safiya Al-Suhail, received the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr Sattam Al-Dandah, in Baghdad on 22/8/2022, with the attendance of Mr Osama Mahdi, head of the Arab Department. During the meeting, they discussed the horizons for the relations between the two brotherly countries, the most important issues, challenges that the region is facing, means to develop the bilateral relations to meet the common interests and reflect positively on all fields politically, economically, culturally and in terms of security.

 The Undersecretary also expressed the keenness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide support and the coordination with the Syrian Embassy in Baghdad, emphasing the depth of the historical ties between Iraq and Syria.
