Chargé d’Affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Meets the Malaysian Speaker of the House of Representatives

On June 29, 2022, Chargé d’Affairs ad interim of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Dr Hamid Al-Jubouri, met the Malaysian Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Azhar Azizan Harun. At the beginning of the meeting, the Chargé d’Affairs expressed his satisfaction with the realisation of this meeting, complementing the previous meetings, which aim at cooperation between the two countries in various fields, particularly the parliamentary cooperation.

On his part, Mr Harun affirmed the deep relationship between the two countries, and that Malaysia is a powerful and supportive friend of Iraq, wishing these relations would be enhanced with a lot of commonalities between the peoples of the two countries, confirming his country’s keenness to establish the best relations between the two countries, especially the cooperation in the field of parliamentary relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides exchanged expressions of thanks, and emphasized continuation of the meetings for further cooperation to realise the common goals of Iraq and Malaysia.
