Iraq Discusses Logistical and Technical Matters for Holding the Forum of Ancient Civilisations to Be Held in Baghdad
On 23/6/2022, the Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations, Dr Qahtan Taha Khalaf, chaired the meeting on the preparatory committee for the Forum of Ancient Civilisations to be held in Baghdad from 13-14/11/2022, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with the presence of Dr Farhad Nematullah Hussein, Deputy Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and Mr Laith Majid Hussein, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Mr Falah Al-Ani, Director General of the Relations Department at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr Abbas Kadhum Obaid, Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences.
The meeting focused on the logistical and technical matters related to the holding and success of the aforementioned forum, particularly since Iraq pays great attention to the above forum because of its importance in showing the true situation of Iraq, preserving antiquities and enhancing the intellectual and cultural cooperation among countries.
It is worth noting that the forum was held for the first time in the Greek capital, Athens 2017, and the countries that will participate are 9 countries (Iran, Greece, China, Egypt, Italy, India, Mexico, Peru and Bolivia).
