Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Receives the Chief of Field Coordinators in the Office of Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations

The Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations, Dr Qahtan Taha Khalaf, has received, at the Ministry’s headquarters, Mr Christopher O’Donnell, Chief of Field Coordinators, in the Office of the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), who is on an official visit to the Republic of Iraq.

The two sides discussed the joint cooperation between Iraq and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism in the field of combating terrorism and extremist ideology, as well as strengthening the role of the office at the level of providing support, presence, developing and implementing strategic plans, and helping in coordinating the national efforts and consultation with the Iraqi competent authorities.

At the end of the meeting, the Undersecretary wished Mr O’Donnell success in his visit to Iraq.
