Chargé d’Affairs ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Damascus Meets Syrian Minister of Culture

On Sunday 5/6/2022, Chargé d’Affairs ad interim of the Republic of Iraq in Damascus, Yassin Sharif Al-Hujaimi, met the Syrian Minister of Culture, Dr Lubana Mshaweh, at the headquarters of the Syrian Ministry of Culture. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and opening all areas of cooperation between the Iraqi and Syrian Ministries of Culture. The two sides touched on the deep cultural and social relations between the two neighbouring peoples throughout history.

On her part, the Syrian Minister of Culture commended the efforts of the Iraqi Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture in recovering smuggled Iraqi antiquities, confirming the importance of benefiting from Iraqi efforts in this regard to recover Syrian antiquities.

First Secretary Muhammad Farhan has attended the meeting.
