Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets Representative of the World Food Programme WFP

On 17/5/2022, Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, Dr Abbas Kadhum Obaid, met the representative of WFP, Mr Ali Reda Qureshi, at the Ministry’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed the tasks and roles conducted by the programme in Iraq in coordination and cooperation with the National institutions and contribute to the implementation of the national initiatives and strategies to realise food security, and relief for the displaced and the effects of climate change. Head of the Organisations Department appreciated the efforts and roles that the programme plays in Iraq, confirming the importance of continuing these roles and implementing the assigned tasks.

On his part, Mr Qureshi affirmed the office’s commitment to the tasks entrusted to it and to provide all aspects of technical cooperation with the Iraqi national institutions.
