Head of the Department of Protocol Receives Ambassador of the Vatican City State to Iraq

Head of the Department of Protocol, Dr Ali Shamran Hachem, Ambassador of the Vatican City State, Mr Mitja Leskovar.

During the meeting, a number of topics of common interest were discussed, where the Head of the Department affirmed the importance of the relations with the State of Vatican City, expressing readiness of the Department of protocol to provide all support and assistance to ensure the success of the mission’s task in the Republic of Iraq.

On his part, Ambassador Leskovar presented to the Head of the Department a volume that documents the historic visit of His Holiness the Pope to the Republic of Iraq.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr Leskovar expressed his thanks for the warm reception and hospitality, and for the support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Department of Protocol to the mission of the Vatican City State in Baghdad.
