Minister of Foreign Affairs Offers Condolences to His Emirati Counterpart on the Passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein made a phone call to the Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, expressing his sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates on the sad occasion of the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, recalling the stances of the late Sheikh in devoting the joint work between Iraq and the UAE and supporting stability and security in the region, praying to the Almighty that the late would be blessed with His mercy.

Minister Fuad Hussein commended the smooth transition of power in naming Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE, which reflects the discretion of institutional work and the advanced level of governance mechanisms and its stability, in a manner that responds to the integration of Arab, Islamic and international relations.
