Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets Italian Ambassador to Iraq

On 15/05/2022, Dr Abbas Kadhum Obaid, the Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, met Mr Maurizio Greganti, the Italian Ambassador to Iraq, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they discussed topics and files of common interest on all fields. The head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences commended Italy’s supportive stances to Iraq in international organisations, and its support to Iraq in the fight against terrorism, in addition to its contributions to building the capabilities of Iraqi personnel in the cultural field. They also touched upon the meeting of the Forum of Ancient Civilizations chaired by Iraq this year, as well as they discussed mechanisms of the mutual support between the two countries for positions in committees and organisations.

On his part, the Italian ambassador affirmed his country’s continued support to Iraq to realise common interests.
