Head of the Department of Protocol Receives New Chinese Ambassador to Iraq

On 16/05/2022, Head of the Department of Protocol, Dr Ali Shamran Hachim, received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Cui Wei, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

 At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Department of Protocol welcomed the new Chinese Ambassador, wishing him success in his new tasks, confirming the importance of the relations between the Republic of Iraq and the People’s Republic of China, expressing the readiness of the Department of Protocol to provide all means of support and facilities to ensure the success of the Chinese mission in Baghdad, in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.

On his part, Mr Cui Wei expressed his thanks for the good reception and hospitality, and for the facilities and support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/Department of Protocol to the Chinese mission in Iraq.
