Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Abuja Meets the Secretary-General of ECOWAS
The Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Iraq in Abuja, Counsellor Anwar Saeed, has met the Secretary-General of ECOWAS, Mr John Azumah. During the meeting, they discussed the activities and tasks carried out by the organisation and its role in the development and developing the economy of member states, and its reflections on the bilateral economic relations outside the framework of ECOWAS.
It is worth mentioning that the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), based in Abuja, was established in 1975, according to the Lagos Agreement, which includes (15) countries and has offices within the embassies of member states around the world, and Nigeria has an active and influential role within this group.
