Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets President of the National Investment Commission

 Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, Dr Abbas Kadhum Obaid, has met the head of the National Investment Commission, Ms Suha Al-Najjar, at the commission’s headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commission, and the topic of global partnerships aimed at adopting systems to encourage investment in developing countries, for the purpose of contributing through local and foreign investment to realise sustainable development goals, and working to develop the economic, health, educational, environmental, clean energy and capacity-building sectors. The head of the Department of International Organisations stated the importance of the Commission’s contribution, through its development projects, to realise all sustainable development goals/2030, and seek to include in the investment map service and environmental development projects related to those goals through a comprehensive and integrated national vision.

On her part, the President of the Commission emphasized the importance of communication and coordination between the various sectoral ministries to realise these goals and to discuss mechanisms for designing and implementing these projects.
