Undersecretary for Policy Planning Inaugurates passport printing system at the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Istanbul
On 28/04/2022, On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein, and on the sidelines of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Undersecretary for Policy Planning, Dr Salih al-Tamimi, inaugurated the system of issuing and printing passports at the Iraqi Consulate General in Istanbul, with the presence of members of his accompanying delegation, Mr Ihsan al-Awadi, Head of the Department of Neighbouring Countries, Mr Mukhles Ali, Head of the Consular Department, and accompanied by Consul General Dr Hussein Younis.
This step comes in the light of the directions of the Minister to provide the best consular services to our fellow citizens, and within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to expand the provision of electronic services and the automation of the consular work, whether inside or outside Iraq.
It is worth mentioning that the opening of this system will contribute significantly in shortening the time required to issue ordinary passports for the gracious citizens.
