Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets his Jordanian Counterpart in Doha and discusses Outcomes of Five-Party Summit Held in Aqaba
26/3/ 2022, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with Mr Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of his participation in the 20th Doha Forum, the outcomes of the meeting of the Five-Party Summit, which was held in Aqaba between His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, with the presence of His Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two sides touched upon the topics of the meeting, especially the war in Europe and its repercussions on the situation, the economy and food security in the region.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop the cooperation between the two brotherly countries on various fields, in a way that reflects their strategic and historic brotherly relations, and affirmed the common concern to find wider horizons for cooperation, and to take the necessary practical steps to realise it.
On another level, they discussed the communication committee that was formed during the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers in Cairo, and the planning of a visit to Moscow and the countries concerned with the Russian-Ukrainian war.
