Foreign Ministers of Iraq and Saudi Arabia Discuss the Security Situation in the Region and the Bilateral Relations between the Two Countries
During his meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on the sidelines of his participation in the 20th Doha Forum, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Fuad Hussein, has expressed Iraq’s condemnation and denunciation of the attacks that targeted the territory of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its vital and civilian facilities, the latest of which was targeting a station for distributing petroleum products of Aramco in Jeddah, tanks belonging to the National Water Company and an electricity distribution station, which left some material damage of homes and vehicles.
The two sides discussed coordination and continuous consultation on various fields to realise the common goals, and for the welfare of the peoples of the two countries. They also discussed the importance of intensifying work towards creating new horizons for the bilateral cooperation.
They exchanged views and assessment on the overall developments of regional issues of common interest, facing the various challenges which the region is undergoing, and finding peaceful solutions that would achieve security and stability, and advance the process of cooperation to realise peace and development.
