Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences Meets Korean Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad

Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences, Dr Abbas Kadhem Obaid, has met Mr Jong Il Han, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Korea in Baghdad, at the Ministry’s headquarters. 

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations and ways of cooperation, assistance and technical support mechanisms provided by the Republic of Korea to Iraqi national institutions in the field of mine clearance and remnants of war, in addition to discussing current issues of common interest before regional and international organisations, and appropriate mechanisms to support mutual nominations between the two countries in the international commissions and agencies of the United Nations. 

 Head of the Department of International Organisations and Conferences commended the strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries, the positions of the Republic of Korea, the technical assistance and grants provided for humanitarian projects. 

On his part, Mr Jong Il Han has confirmed his country’s efforts to consolidate the bilateral relations with Iraq in various fields.
