Head of the Department of Protocol meets the office Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO)

Acting Head of the Department of Protocol, Dr Ali Shamran Hachim met the office Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Mr Paulo Fontany in Baghdad on Wednesday 2/3/2022.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects of mutual cooperation in enhancing the capability of Iraq in the fields of education, heritage, and culture. They also discussed coordinating and preparing all settings for the visit of the Director General of the UNESCO to Iraq. The Head of the Department confirmed the importance of support provided by the aforementioned organisation in all over the Republic of Iraq.

In return, Mr Fontany expressed his thanks and appreciation for the cordial reception, hospitality, and support provided by the Protocol Department for the Mission of the United Nations, particularly the UNESCO.
