Minister of Foreign Affairs officially inaugurates the launch of the digital consulate system (ICASS)

 On 8/3/2022, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein opened the digital consular support system (ICASS) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and confirmed the need to support the development of central systems that streamline procedures and shorten time and effort.

His Excellency and the Undersecretary for Policy Planning Affairs,   General Supervisor of the project, Dr Saleh Hussein Ali Al-Tamimi, were briefed on the details of the systems (scrutiny, citizen, documentation), which are concerned with organising consular applications between our Missions abroad and the Ministry’s centre and the authenticity of their electronic issuance, which were accomplished with the self-efforts of the Ministry’s competent employees. This project has been implemented in 82 Missions, in addition to the Consular Department and authentication offices in provinces. This project also secures the possibility of digital connectivity with the relevant government bodies in the future. These projects come as part of the Ministry’s endeavour to digitizing its work to provide the best consular services to citizens.
