Foreign Minister Meets His Algerian Counterpart Mr Ramtane Lamamra in Cairo

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has met his Algerian counterpart Mr Ramtane Lamamra, on the sidelines of his participation in the 157th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.

The two sides touched upon the historic relations between the two countries and ways to advance them, as Iraq has welcomed Algeria’s efforts with the proposal to hold the 31st Arab Summit to be held on November 1st of this year in Algeria.

The two sides also discussed the most important challenges and crises currently taking place on the regional and international arenas, and the need to find appropriate solutions to them.    Dr Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo, Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Head of the Arab Department Osama Mahdi Ghanem and embassy staff have attended this meeting.
