Foreign Minister Meets his Somali counterpart Abdi Saeed in Cairo
Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has met his Somali counterpart Abdi Said Musa, on the sidelines of his participation in the 157th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of Foreign Ministers, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Somali Foreign Minister thanked the Republic of Iraq for its support and standing by Somalia under its difficult economic conditions.
Mr Fuad Hussein also confirmed Iraq’s commitment to support its Arab brothers, especially the Republic of Somalia, to enable it to succeed in the upcoming elections for Somalia.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arena and ways to resolve them.
Dr Ahmed Nayef Rasheed Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo, Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, and Head of the Department of Arab Affairs Osama Mahdi Ghanem, and the Embassy staff have attended this meeting.
