Head of the Department of Arab Affairs Assures the Indian Ambassador of Iraq’s Keenness to Develop Bilateral Relations in Areas and Issues of common interest

On 1/2/2022, the Acting Head of the Department of Arab Affairs, Dr Osama Mahdi Ghanem, met the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr Prashant Besai, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The two sides affirmed the need to develop the bilateral relations, mutual keenness to strengthen cooperation in areas and issues of common interest to serve the interests of the two countries.

The head of the Department wished the Ambassador all success in his tasks in Iraq, confirming the provision of all support and facilities for the success of the mission’s work in Iraq.

On his part, the Indian Ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude for the good reception and hospitality, as well as the facilities provided to the Indian mission in Iraq, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the Iraqi-Indian relations to serve the interests of both countries.
