Ministry of Foreign Affairs Holds Virtual Meeting with the Pontifical Council for Dialogue between Religions in Baghdad
Mr Tariq Al Shaher Minister Plenipotentiary acting head of the Department of European Affairs has chaired the joint preparatory virtual meeting between the Pontifical Council for dialogue between religions in the Vatican and the religious endowments in Iraq at the Ministry headquarters.
The meeting attended by Cardinal Miguel Iuoso head of the Pontifical Council who commended the huge part played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs represented by Europe Department and the Embassy of Iraq in the Vatican regarding the excellent organisation for the preparatory meeting.
On his part, Dr Ehssan Jaafar vice president of the Shiite Endowment extended his gratitude on behalf of the religious endowments to the Pontifical Council for dialogue for preparing the atmosphere for holding this preparatory meeting and exchanging the points of view and discussing the 3rd joint conference on good education for the upcoming generations towards the path of peace and overall development.
During the meeting attended by Ambassador Abdul Rahman Al Amery the Ambassador of the Vatican and deputy head of the department of European Affairs Mr Muthana Al Ameiri and head of Southern Europe section Ms Zainab Al Zuheiry and Mr Yasser Sabry the desk officer the two sides agreed upon holding the 3rd Conference for the Dialogue between Religions in Baghdad during the last quarter of this year.
