Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Jordan Meets the Jordanian Prime Minister to Discuss Economic Relations and the investment file
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Haider Al-Athari, has met the Jordanian Prime Minister, Mr Bisher Al-Khasawneh, accompanied by the Iraqi commercial attaché, Mr Nabil Al-Karbouli, the Chairman of the Iraqi Business Council, Dr Majid Al-Saadi, a number of council members and prominent Iraqi investors and industrialists, including Mr Ali Al-Khawam, Mr Ali Shamara and Ahmed Ismail.
Al-Athari discussed with Al-Khasawneh the economic relations between the two countries and the investment file, especially regarding the Iraqi investors in the Kingdom, in the meeting which was attended by
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yousef Al-Shamali, the Minister of Investment, Khairy Amr and the President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Mr Fathi Al-Jaghbir, attended the meeting.
Al-Athari pointed out that the meeting’s atmosphere was positive, as the Prime Minister made a recommendation to support efforts that enhance economic cooperation between the two countries and overcome the obstacles faced by Iraqi investors in the Kingdom, as laws and instructions relevant permit.
On his part, Al-Khasawneh affirmed that “His Majesty King Abdullah II gives the utmost importance to investment, and seeks to enhance the complementary relation with Iraq and within the framework of tripartite cooperation between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq in various fields, hoping to accelerate the pace of completion of joint projects between the two countries further and further, confirming that the Jordanian Industries Exhibition, which has been held recently in Baghdad, reflects the strength of the economic relations between the two brotherly countries.
