Minister of Foreign Affairs receives letter of Credentials of Mr Mouritsieo Krikanti the New Ambassador of Italy to Baghdad
H.E. Dr Fu’ad Hussain the Minister of Foreign Affairs has received a copy of letter of credentials of Mr Mouritsieo Krikanti the new Italian ambassador in Iraq, they discussed relations between Iraq and Italy and means of its development to meet the ambitions of the two peoples.
H.E. the Foreign Minister affirmed his support to the efforts of the new ambassador to enhance relations between Baghdad and Rome and develop the bilateral relations to meet the joint interests. Both sides discussed the nuclear agreement between Iran and the international parties in Vienna and in event of any progress in this file will positively affects the regional situation and Iraq wishing the ambassador all success in his assigned tasks and expressing the readiness of Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all facilities to the diplomatic mission.
On his part, the Italian ambassador affirmed the support of his government to Iraq and commended the latest election process took place on 10/10/2021, hoping that Iraq to form an elected government and meet the ambitions of the Iraqi people.
Commending the role of Iraq in the security and stability in the Middle East, this role represented by holding Baghdad Conference for cooperation and partnership and the role of Iraq in combating terror and confronting the security challenges represented by the remnants of daesh terrorist organisation and Affirming that Italy is to chair the NATO mission in May 2022.
