Undersecretary of Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Receives Head of the International Investigation Team on the Crimes of ISIS Terrorist Gangs in Iraq

Dr Qahtan Taha Khalaf, Undersecretary of Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations, has met Mr Gerald Casey, Chief of Staff of the International Investigation Team to investigate the crimes of ISIS terrorist gangs in Iraq at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the investigation files of the crimes of ISIS terrorist gangs, ways of bilateral cooperation between the team and the Iraqi government and the issue of Yazidi women survivors.

The Undersecretary affirmed the keenness of the Government of Iraq to support the team to detect and document the facts, and to support the digitization project that the team is working on, as well as the government’s appreciation to the efforts made by them, and they emphasized the team’s work strategy at the beginning of 2022.

In conclusion, the Undersecretary valued the efforts of the investigation team and looked forward to working to make the team’s mission a success.
