The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq and his permanent representative to the United Nations agencies accredited in Rome presents his credentials to the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development IFAD

Presented by Ambassador Dr. Siwan Saber Mustafa Barzani, his credentials to Mr. Alvario Lario, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, as permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations organizations.

The ceremony of presenting the credentials took place at the organization’s headquarters in the capital, Rome. Mr. Alvario welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in his new duties as permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations agencies and organizations accredited in Italy, praising Iraq’s efforts and its keenness to develop its international relations with organizations. International standards approved in the world through its diplomatic missions operating abroad.

In turn, the Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Fund President and all friendly countries that stood, supported, and provided support and backing to face the challenges facing Iraq at all levels, stressing Iraq’s keenness to maintain and revitalize international relations continuously with all international organizations and institutions in a way that serves the region, friendly countries, and Iraq in particular. By supporting the agricultural sector and financing small and medium enterprises according to strategic programs and plans to meet the economic, social and environmental challenges that bring about a comprehensive change in rural areas, which lead to increasing productive capacities and promoting sustainable development for the residents of those areas.
