The Government of the Republic of Iraq categorically rejects and strongly condemns the Iranian bombardment of drones and missiles on the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The repeated attacks carried out by the Iranian and Turkish forces with missiles and drones on the Kurdistan region are a violation of the sovereignty of Iraq, and an act that contravenes international covenants and laws that regulate relations between countries. It also violates the principle of good neighborliness, which should be a reason for keenness to carry out participatory security work in the service of all parties.
The Iraqi government stresses that the lands of Iraq are not; a headquarters or a passage to harm any of the neighboring countries, and it also refuses that Iraq be an arena for conflicts and settling scores for external parties.
