Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomes the British Ambassador in Iraq; they discuss a draft partnership agreement between the two countries

Deputy Prime Minister, Minster of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein welcomed today, Sunday, November 13, 2022, the British Ambassador in Iraq, Mr. Mark Bryson Richardson. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance prospects for cooperation in all fields to serve mutual interests, in addition to develop Economic and commercial cooperation and joint action in facing challenges.

The two sides discussed the draft joint agreement between the two countries and its development, in addition to the work of British companies in Iraq and the issues they face and how to solve them.

They also discussed the Iraqi government’s plan, foremost of which is strengthening the work of economic diplomacy in line with the government program voted on by the Iraqi parliament.

For his part, British Ambassador Mark Bryson affirmed his country’s interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Baghdad and London, and that his country supports the Iraqi government in achieving security and stability.
