Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs meets the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union in Abu Dhabi

 On Sunday 6/11/2022, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Fuad Hussein, met with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in the European Union, Vice-President of the European Commission, Mr. Joseph Borrell, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the thirteen sessions for Sir Bani Yas Forum, which is organized by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

 Mr. Joseph Borrell congratulated the Minister on forming the new government and renewing confidence in him as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.

 For his part, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein presented a summary of the developments of the practical processes. He also expressed his optimism about the success of the new government due to the availability of political support and considering the high economic and financial level in Iraq. During the meeting, they discussed relations with the European Union and its countries to serve common interests, and the Iraqi-European dialogue, which is expected to be held early next year.  Several files of common interest were also discussed, in addition to developments on the regional and international arenas, and they exchanged views on them.
