Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Manila Meets Philippine  Foreign Assistant Secretary for Middle East and African Affairs

Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Republic of Iraq in Manila, Bashar Saleh Ibrahim, has met the Philippine Foreign Assistant Secretary for Middle East and African Affairs, Mr. Alfonso Ferdinand Ver.

 During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues and files of common interest, in addition to ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries through signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding, foremost among which is the agreement on “Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion” that would positively affect the economic and trade growth between the two countries, in addition to the file of Filipino workers in Iraq.

On his part, the Philippine Foreign Assistant Secretary confirmed that he will communicate with the competent authorities in the Philippine government and coordinate with them to activate the files that had been touched upon, and inform the Iraqi side.
