Undersecretary receives the Bangladeshi ambassador to Iraq

 The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Administrative, Technical and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Omar Al-Barzanchi, received the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Iraq Mr Amadi Fadloul Bari, in his office at the ministry’s headquarters, on Monday, 9/26/2022.

 The Bangladeshi ambassador reviewed the history of the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, noting that the current year 2022, has witnessed the annual anniversary of the beginng of diplomatic relations between Iraq and Bangladesh.

 The two sides also discussed enhancing the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the economic, political and cultural fields, exchanging visits by official delegations, and discussing completing the procedures for signing agreements and memoranda of understanding, as well as issues related to Bangladeshi labour in Iraq and discussing possible means to resolve the outstanding problems.

 At the conclusion of the meeting, the Bangladeshi ambassador presented copies of book (Sheikh Mujibur A Rahman’s book: Unfinished Memoirs), which includes a collection of the words of the founder of Bangladesh during his imprisonment between (1967-1969).

 On his part, Undersecretary Dr Omar Al-Barzanchi thanked his honourable guest for his valuable gift, expressing the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide full support for the task of the Bangladeshi Embassy in Baghdad.
