Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives a Copy of Credentials of the new Danish Ambassador to Iraq

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein has received a copy of the credentials of the new Danish ambassador to Iraq, Mr Christian Thorning.

The two sides discussed means of promoting the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing opportunities for cooperation at various levels to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.

The Minister stressed the importance of opening wider horizons for constructive cooperation, stating “Iraq’s strategy in its balanced relations stems from taking into account the interests with the countries of the world, in a way that serves progress and prosperity for our people and friendly peoples”.

  On his part, the Danish ambassador affirmed his country’s support for the social twinning projects through non-governmental organisations, noting that businessmen in Denmark are interested in entering the Iraqi market, adding that the Danish Development Agency is interested in supporting electricity and infrastructure projects in Iraq.
