The Technical Committee assigned for studying the report issued by the US State Department on Human Rights holds its first meeting

The Technical Committee assigned by the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimy and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein has held its first meeting to review the report issued by the US State Department. This meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Dr Qahtan Taha Khalaf and with the presence of the following figures: Advisor for the Prime Minister, Dr Hussein Allawy; Head of the Department of Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr Husham Al-Alawy; Assistant Head of the Department of American, Miyada Abdallah Yaseen; Assistant Head of the Department of Human Rights, Muhammed Sahib Majeed; Desk officer of Human Rights at the Undersecretary office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, First Secretary Yahiya Ibrahim; and Head of Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Justice.

The attendees discussed what the content of the report issued by the US State Department on Human Rights and Freedoms in Iraq. They also discussed the technical perspectives as a result of the follow-up procedures carried out by the concerned Departments.
