Iraq’s Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency Participates in twenty-third meeting of the IRENA Council

The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Ambassador Dr Mudhaffar Mustafa al-Jubouri, has participated in the twenty-third meeting of the IRENA Council in Abu Dhabi, with over 300 high-level participants from 100 countries worldwide, which was held on 24-25/5/2022.

Director General of IRENA, Mr Francesco La Camera, filed a progress report on the Agency’s work and activities between 2022 and 2023, and comments on the Agency’s medium-term strategy 2023-2027.

The IRENA Council which comprised 21 members elected for two-year terms, working alternatively to ensure that energy is distributed fairly and equitably on geographical areas, heard the reports from the participating supervisors on the latest meetings of the Agency’s Collaborative Framework on Green Hydrogen, Fair and Inclusive Energy Transformation, and Geopolitics for energy transformation.
