Head of the Department of Protocol Meets Georgian Ambassador to Iraq

The head of the Department of Protocol, Dr Ali Shamran Hachim, has received the Georgian ambassador accredited to Iraq and residing in Amman, Mr Zaza Kandelaki. During the meeting, a number of files were discussed, the most important of which was the opening of commercial offices of the Republic of Georgia in Iraq as a first stage in preparation for reopening the Georgian embassy in Baghdad. The head of the department affirmed the readiness of the Department of protocol to provide all support and facilities required to reopen the embassy in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples.

On his part, the Georgian ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation for the good reception and hospitality, confirming the desire of the Georgian side and their endeavour to move forward in developing the cooperation on all levels.
