Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets His Venezuelan Counterpart in Antalya and Calls for Concerted Efforts of Oil-Producing Countries to Address the Economic Challenges Confronting the World

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Fuad Hussein has met his Venezuelan counterpart, Mr Felix Placencia Gonzalez, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. 

The two sides held political talks which touched upon the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, and they consulted on a number of regional and international issues of common interest. 

The Minister affirmed Iraq’s keenness to establish the best relations with various countries of the world to activate the common interests and confront common risks, referring to the importance of coordination in international forums and the United Nations, and working to spread  culture of dialogue and peace, and to ensure security and stability in all countries of the world, calling for the concerted efforts of the oil-producing countries to address the serious economic challenges confronting the world. 

On his part, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Placencia Gonzalez affirmed his country’s desire to enhance the bilateral relations with Iraq, pointing out the need to work on investing in relations, and discussing the ways of the rising oil prices and its repercussions on OPEC countries.
