Minister of Foreign Affairs Visits the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Istanbul and Follows up on the Conditions of the Iraqi Community

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein has visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq in Istanbul, accompanied by the Consul General, Dr Hussein Younis. During his field tour, the Minister was briefed on the conditions of the Iraqi community and the nature of the services provided by the Consulate General, inquiring directly from citizens about the quality of these services at the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara and the Consulates of Istanbul and Gaziantep.

The Minister directed that the embassy in Ankara and the consulate in Gaziantep should cancel appointments or expand the number of daily visitors in a way that will serve the largest possible number of the Iraqi community residing in Turkey.

The Minister also inspected the various halls and sections of the consulate, met the staff there, and commended the work they do to serve the largest possible number of the community, without prior appointments, calling on them to make further efforts to complete the various consular affairs of citizens.
