Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq meets head of the Egyptian State Council

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo – Iraq’s permanent Representative to the Arab League, Dr. Ahmed Naif Rasheed Al Dulaimy met the head of the Egyptian State Council, Consultant Muhammed Hussam Aldeen on 7/11/2021. They have discussed the ways of developing the bilateral relations between the two countries in different fields and promoting them to the broader scopes reviewing the Iraqi political situation. The Ambassador has emphasised that the Iraqi judiciary system has a complete independence and its importance pours into the interest with its entire spectrum. The Ambassador referred to the depth of the relations and historic ties between the two brotherly countries in all fields. The Ambassador conveyed the regards of the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Fa’iq Zaidan to its Egyptian counterpart calling for the exchange of expertise, especially in the judiciary field and exchanging official visits which have highly importance reflecting on the stability and security of countries, pointing out that Iraq has actually moved from the stage of counter-terrorism to the re-construction one, building, and investment. The Ambassador drew the attention to the progress of relations between the two brotherly countries after holding many summits and applying the outcomes of the joint high committee between them.

In return, the head of the State Council has expressed his happiness of this visit, affirming the readiness of Egypt to support Iraq in all fields as it represents a big importance for Egypt. He has condemned the attempt of targeting Prime Minister Mustafa AlKadhimy. He has wished the stability and prosperity for Iraq, commending the security, political, economic, and international efforts exerted by the Prime Minister and his success in conducting the parliamentary election under the international observation. His Excellency has also praised the distinct Iraqi judiciary system of all its specialisations and conveying his regards to his counterpart – the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Fa’iq Zaidan, wishing more progress and prosperity for the Republic of Iraq. The Secretary General of the State Council, Consultant Taha Karsouh has also reviewed the duties of the State Council and its importance in resolving the administrative conflicts; and reviewing and formulating the drafts of laws and decisions of legislative characteristics.
