Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Pakistan receives the Minister of Religious Affairs and Harmony

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Pakistan, Hamid Abbas Lafta has received the Minister of Religious Affairs and Harmony, Mr. Noor Al-Haq Qadiry at the Embassy headquarters with the presence of the Embassy staff. At the beginning, the Ambassador welcomed the Minister and addressed the spiritual importance of Iraq for the Pakistani people all its spectrum. The Ambassador has also emphasised the welcome of Iraq of all Pakistani pilgrims and presented thorough details regarding the latest developments pertaining to the bilateral relations between the two countries and its most developing points. The Ambassador has referred to the efforts performed by the Embassy in the field of facilitating the visas issuance to the Pakistani pilgrims who visit the Holy Shrines in Iraq, including Baghdad, Najaf, and Karbala.

In return, the Minister has presented his gratitude to the Ambassador for his role performed by the Embassy to facilitate the communication between the two countries and the continuous progress, particularly the area of religious pilgrimage. The Minister has requested to increase the number of the Pakistani pilgrims who are interested in visiting Iraq.
