Head of Arab Department Meets Iranian Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad

 On 12/12/2021, Minister Plenipotentiary Osama Mahdi Ghanem, Acting Head of the Arab Department, met the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires, Mr Muhammad Mir Hosseini, at the Ministry’s headquarters at the request of the latter.

  The head of the Arab Department affirmed Iraq’s keenness to establish better relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Government and the people, refering to the historic relations between the two countries, and that Iraq looks forward to enhancing and developing relations between the two countries. During the meeting, they exchanged views on various bilateral and regional issues.

  The Counselor Qutaiba Khaled Saleh/ Arab Department and First Secretary Nihad Tariq Khalid/ Department of Neighboring Countries have attended the meeting.
