Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Beirut meets the Lebanese Minister of Education

Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Beirut, Haider Shaya AlBarak met the Lebanese Minister of Education, Abbas AlHalaby at the Ministry headquarters on Thursday 25/11/2021. During the meeting, they have discussed the problems and challenges facing the Iraqi students at the Lebanese Universities and develop drastic solutions to solve them in a way to facilitate completing their course of study. 

They also addressed the issue of extending the permission period for students who are studying in order to complete their files and accredit their degrees, as well as, the issue of resuming the receipt and delivery of the special certificates of students through the Lebanese post.

For his part, the Minister – AlHalaby has promised to discuss these topics through a meeting for the Higher Education Council which is due to be held in the upcoming week.

The Iraqi Consul at the Embassy, Mr Muhanad Yahiya AlJourany has attended the meeting.
