Head of the Department of Arab Affairs Meets Egyptian Ambassador in Baghdad

The acting head of the Department of Arab Affairs, Mr Osama Mahdi Ghanem, has met Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Baghdad, Mr Walid Muhammad Ismail.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance prospects of cooperation between Baghdad and Cairo.

The head of the Department of Arab Affairs expressed Iraq’s keenness to support Iraqi-Egyptian relations in order to achieve a strategic partnership in a way that meets the ambitions and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples, and achieves their common interests in progress, prosperity, and development.

The two sides affirmed the importance of following up on the outcomes of the meetings of the tripartite coordination mechanism between Baghdad, Cairo and Amman under the framework of achieving integration at all levels.
