Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Los Angeles Receives t Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East

The Consul General of the Republic of Iraq in Los Angeles, Dr Salwan Sinjari, has received His Holiness Patriarch Mar Awa III, Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East in Iraq and the world, at the headquarters of the Consulate General. The Consul General welcomed His Holiness, congratulating him on the occasion of His Holiness’s ordination to lead the church and take the decision of returning the church’s headquarters to Iraq after 82 years. His Holiness also expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and reception and appreciated the role of the Consulate General of the Republic of Iraq and its distinctive role, wishing security and peace will embrace Iraq.
