Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut Meets the Commander of the Lebanese Army

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beirut, Haider Shiya           Al-Barrak, has met the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, at the headquarters of the Lebanese Army.

 At the beginning of the meeting, General Aoun conveyed his greetings to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and congratulated him on his safety from the failed attempt assassination he had recently been exposed to. General Aoun also thanked the government and people of Iraq for the assistance and financial support to the Lebanese Army, affirming that Iraq is the first to give this support to the Lebanese Army.

On his part, the ambassador affirmed Iraq’s continued support to the Lebanese people and its keenness to resolve the Lebanese-Arab differences and the return of Lebanon to play its important Arab and regional role.
